This project focused on the precision loading and securement of high-tonnage metal bar stock and piping within standard shipping containers. To guarantee safe transit and eliminate the risk of cargo shifting, we implemented rigorous heavy-load stabilization protocols. The cargo was professionally secured by GPS Cargo handling utilizing advanced "chock and brace" techniques, meeting the highest safety standards for international transport.
We were commissioned to manage the containerisation and securement of a 22,422 kg industrial consignment for sea freight, housed within a 40' High Cube (HC) container. The cargo comprised a diverse mix of large-diameter solid metal billets and smaller-diameter industrial piping, requiring specialised handling and precise weight distribution to ensure integrity during maritime transit.
Integrating long-format cargo into a closed container presents significant logistical challenges, primarily due to the restrictive dimensions and the awkward center of gravity.
Utilizing a specialized boom lift for precision handling, we safely maneuvered and positioned the cargo to maximize space and maintain structural integrity.
